Nestled in the northern mountains of the Dominican Republic, Reserva Zorzal is a 1,000-acre organic cacao farm and dedicated bird sanctuary for the Bicknell’s Thrush, a songbird that migrates from the hills of San Francisco de Macoris to our own Green Mountains. Reserva Zorzal is a powerful example of balancing bird habitat protection with the preservation of fine cacao varietals. The organic cacao makes the same journey to Vermont, where we turn it into an approachable dark chocolate with subtle notes of honey, dried apricot, and baked brownie.  Made entirely from scratch in Burlington, Vermont, all the way from organic cacao bean to chocolate bar.  Crafted in an allergen-free facility (no gluten, soy, or nuts). 12 bars per case.
